Since installing the TRD strut brace , and cleaning down the engine bay to take pics, I've started to want to dress up the engine bay for the up comming show season.

Also a recent birthday present:

Now i've got the bug, maybe thinking a TRD oil cap, and a TRD sticker/badge covering the crappy battery sticker.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for a tidy looking engine bay?

oil catch tank??

Maybe a bit of colour coding.

I'm looking to colour code my engine bay red. So red rad cap, red oil filler cap. spray battery cover piece red, poss. strut brace arms red, dip stick red and screen wash cap red.

There isn't really that much you can do without been controversial/ over the top

Colour coding definately needs doing. anything that isn't black grey or red, is getting turned to one of those colours.

was thiking about doing something with the engine cover.

I was thinking about this too the other day... Rad cap, oil cap to blitz ir trd.. Battery cover strip, and some LEDs placed to light the engine bay for show if ever opened at night / maintenance etc.. Silicone hoses for induction and radiator, red vacuum hoses.. One of those bit at a time jobs...

It separates the radiator from the rest of the engine bay! They look really nice in chrome etc!

I think they can make quite a difference to cooling and performance! Fairly cheap too!

You'll have fun with it! A bug that you cannot squish. Believe me.... :D

Got a TRD cap on the AE92 and a Blitz cap on the CTS. :spiteful:

I've got a gas strut fitted to my bonnet as I lost the retaining clip from the stock arm. Whipped that out entirely now as the rattling was very annoying and fitted the gas strut. So now I can just throw the bonnet up when I open it and it stays in the air (although this has caused me issues when working on other rollas because I throw it up and it quickly comes back down on my head again!)

The one I got for the E12 fits into existing bolt holes etc, so absolutely nothing needs to be done that isn't completely reversible. It also came with 2 struts, but I found it was too difficult to shut the bonnet with both fitted, so I went down to just the one and that has the perfect weighting now.

If you can source some that are the correct size for sure I will see if I can delve into the same venture with you. ;)
